When does life begin? Should we support Human Stem Cell Research?

Life begins when one can feel pain and has the basic knowledge of feeling. If life has not begun, then it should be fine to conduct Stem Cell Research on the embryo.

However, if one begins life, then it would be inhumane and immoral to use the individual for research.

It wouldn't be immoral if life hasn't begun because the embryo would not feel anything and would not be aware of what is going on. It may only seem immoral in the psychological point of view which embryos have not developed. However, it would be inhumane and immoral if Stem Cell Research was conducted after life has begun. This would be immoral because the developed embryo, which I would see as an individual, has already started to have feelings of pain and knowledge of its surroundings.

In conclusion, Human Stem Cell Research should be supported only if the research is done on an embryo that can not feel pain and know the situation.
